Lynchburg Regional Airport brings you directly into the heart of the flourishing area of central Virginia. New construction consisted of the airport terminal, exposed steel trusses, masonry and glass arches, a barrell vault at main entry with translucent cupola, a standing seam metal roof, and automatic and revolving doors. The floors are epoxy terrazzo with brass inlay containing quotes by Thomas Jefferson. Baggage conveyor systems, upper and lower level holding areas, restrooms, elevators and escalators were also included.
