Being an intern with Jamerson-Lewis Construction means gaining real experience: in the field, in our office with Project Management and Estimating departments, and with our Executive Leadership team.

Our project management team brings the dream to life. Focusing on total team communication allows us to deliver the project beyond the clients’ expectations. We coordinate the plans, permits, submittals, RFI’s, cost changing and take-offs, all while maintaining the schedule and budget.

Our industrial clients range from the nation’s leading supplier of nuclear components and fuel for the U.S. government to manufacturers of sophisticated medical devices and everyday consumer items.

What is the duration of the internship program?
Our Summer internship program lasts for 12 weeks, divided into two segments: 6 weeks in-office and 6 weeks on-site. Our Winter internship program lasts for 3 weeks and is entirely field-based.
What qualifications and prerequisites are required to apply?
Prospective interns should have a background in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field. Strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a passion for the construction industry are also desired.
Is the internship paid?
Yes, our internship program is paid. Interns receive compensation for their time and contributions during the program.
Is housing available?
Yes, limited housing is available. Be sure to secure your spot now to ensure accommodation during the program.
Will interns have the opportunity for full-time employment after completing the program?
While we cannot guarantee full-time employment, interns who demonstrate exceptional performance and fit within our company culture may be considered for open positions upon completion of the program.
What can interns expect to learn during the program?
You will gain hands-on experience in project management, estimating, field supervision, safety protocols, and more. They will work closely with experienced professionals to develop essential skills needed in the construction industry. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including assisting with project planning, site inspections, subcontractor coordination, and more.
How many interns are typically accepted into the program each year?
The number of interns accepted into the program may vary depending on company needs and capacity. Typically, we aim to accept around four interns to ensure a personalized experience for each person.
