Building the Next Chapter for the Botetourt County Courthouse

Botetourt County Courthouse Project Underway

Honoring the legacy of the Botetourt County Courthouse by building the next chapter.

Jamerson-Lewis Construction is currently building the new Botetourt County Courthouse, replacing the former facility that served the community for many years. Following demolition of the previous structure, construction is underway on a modern courthouse designed to meet current standards for safety, accessibility, and functionality.

Botetourt County is replacing the 1975 circuit courthouse in Fincastle with a facility designed to support current and future needs, including improvements to accessibility and security. Demolition began in November 2024, and the new courthouse is expected to be completed by fall 2027.

The new courthouse will preserve key historic elements and maintain a familiar presence in the community, including the traditional red brick façade, white-columned portico, green raised-seam metal roof, and signature clock spire. The project also supports the vitality of downtown Fincastle by enhancing the courthouse green and improving access in the heart of town.

Jamerson-Lewis is proud to help deliver a facility that will serve residents and the justice system for generations to come.
