Riverfront Park Amphitheater Receives 2026 AIA Blue Ridge Award of Honor

Jamerson-Lewis Construction is pleased to recognize the Riverfront Park Amphitheater as a recipient of the 2026 AIA Blue Ridge Award of Honor.

The Amphitheater was the only project selected to receive an Award of Honor in this year’s Design Awards. AIA Blue Ridge’s awards program recognizes outstanding architectural design and celebrates projects that demonstrate excellence in design, innovation, and execution.

Members of the project team gathered in Roanoke on September 17 for the 2026 AIA Blue Ridge Design + Honor Awards Gala, where the Riverfront Park Amphitheater was formally recognized.

The project represents the result of extensive collaboration between AECOM, the City of Lynchburg, Jamerson-Lewis Construction, and the many trade partners who helped bring it to life. From its sweeping steel canopy to the detailed coordination required throughout construction, the Amphitheater combined thoughtful design, craftsmanship in the field, and a shared vision for a new gathering place in Downtown Lynchburg.

For Jamerson-Lewis Construction, the recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the collective effort behind the finished project.

We’re proud of the team behind this award-winning project and grateful to have helped bring the Riverfront Park Amphitheater to life.
