Jamerson-Lewis Breaks Ground on New STEM Center Addition at Jubilee Family Development Center

Jamerson-Lewis Construction recently joined Jubilee Family Development Center, project partners, and community members to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new STEM Center addition at Jubilee’s Lynchburg campus.

The approximately 2,155-square-foot expansion will provide five new classrooms designed to support Jubilee’s educational programs and growing STEM initiatives. One of the classrooms will be named the Mark Spain Media Center, recognizing the late ABC 13 news anchor whose fundraising efforts helped make the project possible.

In addition to the new classroom space, the project will include an ADA-accessible ramp, new HVAC and electrical systems, and updated interior finishes. Construction is expected to be completed by summer 2027.

The expansion represents an important investment in Jubilee’s continued mission to serve students and families throughout the Lynchburg community. The new space will allow the organization to expand programming and provide students with additional opportunities to learn, explore, and develop new skills.

Jamerson-Lewis is proud to partner with Jubilee Family Development Center, Moore Architecture, and Leland Melvin, along with the many individuals and organizations who have helped bring the project from vision to construction.

The groundbreaking marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Jubilee, and we look forward to seeing the STEM Center take shape over the coming months.
