Project Completion
We are proud to announce the completion of a new gymnasium addition at Bedford Primary School, delivered in partnership with Dominion Seven Architects.
For decades, the school operated without a dedicated indoor space for physical education. The new gymnasium provides a safe, age-appropriate environment designed specifically for Pre-K through 1st grade students. The space supports movement, development, and everyday activity in a facility built just for them.
The thoughtfully designed addition includes built-in storage, restrooms, and support areas tailored to younger learners. Every element was planned with functionality, safety, and long-term durability in mind.
Construction was carefully executed while the school remained fully operational. Jamerson-Lewis managed site development, utilities, and full integration with the existing building, ensuring minimal disruption to students and staff.
Careful phasing, detailed safety planning, and consistent coordination with school leadership were essential to the project’s success. Maintaining a secure and organized jobsite in an active educational environment remained a top priority from start to finish.
Now in use for daily physical education and activity time, the new gymnasium expands what Bedford Primary can offer its students. The facility creates opportunities for movement, growth, and community for years to come.
