Lynchburg City Stadium

Renovations

Project Details

In association with VMDO Architects:

Jamerson-Lewis was selected by the City of Lynchburg for its first Construction Manager at Risk project for the renovations and additions to the City Stadium. As part of the Construction Team with VMDO Architects and the City of Lynchburg, we were able to move forward with a “fast-track” Early Design / Bid Package for Sitework and Electrical work for the removal of the existing buildings, early grading and the installation of the new scoreboard and new field lighting. All of these early items had to be completed prior to the start of Fall 2015 City High School athletic season. The balance of the project included extensive site grading and utility work, elaborate decorative site concrete walls and paving, restoration of the existing stadium risers and the construction of the new modern designed Entry facility and Concessions/ Locker room facility on the Home side. Work was also performed on the Home side press box to improve its functionality, aesthetics and ADA accessibility. The entire project was completed in October 2016 and was a great success for Jamerson-Lewis, VMDO Architects and the City of Lynchburg.
