Blackstone Army Air Field (BAAF) Flight Control Tower

Project Details

This project involved the construction of a new five-story flight control tower at Blackstone Army Airfield. The facility was equipped with an emergency back-up generator, fire alarm system, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The structure was built using a cast-in-place reinforced concrete frame with CMU infill and finished with an Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS). It also housed relocated infrastructure from the previous control tower and communications building. Site work included installation of gravity sanitary sewer, potable water supply, communications and fire alarm infrastructure, power supply, a gravel access road, and concrete walks.
