The Surgery Center of Lynchburg

Interior Renovations

Project Details

In association with Cornerstone Architects:

This project will consist of a 12,600 square foot addition to the rear of the existing ambulatory care facility to contain more Sterile supply, larger locker rooms and break room, and additional administrative offices. Renovations to the existing ambulatory care facility will also include several offices, a new surgery prep bay, and the rework of several post OP recovery bays.

The Surgery Center of Lynchburg approached Jamerson-Lewis Construction to complete Phase two of construction to meet the increasing demand for outpatient services and the need to provide overnight care. Our team was tasked with expanding and updating the facility on a tight schedule. The project involved adding a storage facility, which allowed for repurposing interior spaces. Interior retrofit work included upfitting a small operation space, renovating eight recovery spaces, creating a nursing station, and establishing an overnight physician's room.

Additionally, necessary MEP upgrades were carried out to enhance the facility's functionality. All work was accomplished without interrupting the day-to-day activities of the Surgery Center. Despite tight confines, our team performed renovations with physicians operating on the adjacent side of construction barriers. The completed facility met all required state regulatory inspections.
