Project Details

Jamerson-Lewis Construction is proud to celebrate the completion of the major renovation and addition at Amherst County High School — a transformative project that represents a lasting investment in education, community, and opportunity. What began as a $32 million vision has, over the course of two years, become a revitalized campus designed to better serve students, faculty, and the broader community.

The project delivered significant upgrades across the campus, including a spacious new dining commons, a modern cafeteria seating approximately 400 students, and a 1,400-seat multipurpose auditorium built to support theater productions, band performances, and community events. Classroom spaces were upgraded throughout the school, creating modern, flexible learning environments that support today’s educational needs.

In addition, the renovation included refreshed Career and Technical Education (CTE) labs, providing students with enhanced hands-on learning spaces aligned with workforce development and career readiness goals. Updated finishes and building systems further improved the overall functionality, safety, and appearance of the facility.
