Jamerson-Lewis Construction is proud to announce the completion of the Lynchburg Riverfront Amphitheater, a transformational addition to the city’s downtown and a key milestone in the continued revitalization of Riverfront Park.
On Friday, April 24, we joined the City of Lynchburg, project partners, and community members to celebrate the project’s completion with a ribbon cutting ceremony. It marked the culmination of more than a year of construction and the realization of a vision years in the making.
Designed to host concerts, festivals, and community events, the amphitheater creates a new space for Lynchburg to gather along the riverfront. With capacity for up to 5,000 attendees, the venue is expected to draw thousands of visitors each year and bring new energy to the city’s downtown.
From the beginning, this project was about more than building a structure. It was about creating a place that feels welcoming, accessible, and built for everyone.
Construction began in spring 2024, and our team was proud to serve as general contractor throughout the process.
The finished amphitheater features:
As part of an $8 million investment in Riverfront Park, the project helps transform the area into a modern, multi-use destination for the Lynchburg community.
Following the ribbon cutting, we were proud to sponsor opening night, welcoming the community for the amphitheater’s first live concert. The turnout and energy on the lawn made it clear this space will quickly become a staple in Lynchburg.
Seeing families, friends, and visitors come together in a space we built is what makes projects like this meaningful.
This project was made possible through strong collaboration with the City of Lynchburg, AECOM, Shickel Corporation, and the many subcontractors and trade partners whose work brought the vision to life.
We’re grateful for the trust placed in our team and proud to have delivered a project of this scale and impact.
We didn’t just build a stage. We built a place where Lynchburg will gather for generations.
Proud to help build what’s next for Lynchburg.
