We're proud to share the completion of Phase 4 of the Lynchburg Downtown Renewal Project, a major infrastructure improvement and streetscaping effort along Main Street.

Projects like this are about more than upgrading pipes and pavement. They're about investing in the communities we call home, supporting local businesses, and creating spaces where people can connect and thrive.

New Life on Main Street

This phase brought new life to Main Street — from essential utility and infrastructure work below the surface to a refreshed streetscape above it, designed for the people who live, work, and gather downtown every day.

The result is a corridor built to serve the community reliably for years to come, with a look and feel that reflects the character of Downtown Lynchburg.

A Partnership Effort

It was an honor for the Jamerson-Lewis team to partner with the City of Lynchburg and Lynchburg Water Resources to bring this important work to life.

A special thank you to the Downtown Lynchburg Association for helping us celebrate at the ribbon cutting. We were also glad to send attendees home with goodie bags featuring items from several amazing downtown businesses — a small way to highlight everything our local community has to offer.

With Main Street now open, it's the perfect time to take a stroll, grab a bite, shop local, and show some love to the incredible businesses that make Downtown Lynchburg such a special place.
