Downtown Renewal Milestone: Fences Down Along Main Street

Great news for Downtown Lynchburg!

The fences are officially down along the 1200 and 1300 blocks of Main Street as Jamerson-Lewis Construction and the City of Lynchburg move into the next phase of the Downtown Renewal Project. With some finishing touches and new trees still to come, this milestone marks tremendous progress toward revitalizing the heart of our city.

This work replaces more than a century of aging underground infrastructure while creating modern, accessible, and beautiful new streetscapes designed to make downtown more vibrant, walkable, and welcoming for all.

Jamerson-Lewis Construction is proud to be part of this transformative effort that’s shaping the future of Lynchburg.

As work shifts to the next block, it’s the perfect time to explore the newly reopened section, support local businesses, and see firsthand the improvements that are breathing new life into Downtown Lynchburg.
