  • " As a leader in the construction industry, Jamerson-Lewis is known for their highly skilled workforce. We have always found their workmanship to be above industry standards. Their willingness to go the extra mile has always produced a quality and very reliable product.....Southern Air, Inc regards Jamerson-Lewis as one of the best general contractors in the Southeast".

  • I want to formally thank you both for the work of Ricky Overstreet and his team this year on the BWXT Security Training Facility. This was an important project for BWXT NOG-L, and Ricky and his team knocked it out of the park. Working with a tight schedule is never easy, and layering security requirements only complicates things further. Ricky did an excellent job juggling priorities while moving the project along. The entire JL team surprised many BWXT employees who were closely monitoring the project.  You guys see projects such as these succeed all of the time, but do not underestimate the effort that goes into the achievement.

During year end reflection and performance evaluation periods, I want to be clear that Ricky and his team’s level of effort and performance surpassed my expectations in regards to the support provided for the project this year.

  • "Our Department has been very pleased with the professional performance of Jamerson-Lewis Construction, Inc. during the completion of the alterations and additions to Midlothian High School....The project design was phased, unique and complex. The time for completion was compressed. The project team was proactive in their scheduling and phase completions. The owner and the users were amazed with the smooth transition into these new and renovated spaces. Jamerson-Lewis met every time sensitive issue and moved to the completion dates with ease. I would highly recommend this company to any other architect, engineer or owner."

  • I have worked with William Cook of Jamerson Lewis Construction, Inc. on several construction projects since 2008 where I served as the Project Architect. Throughout the time I’ve known him, he has shown me time and again that he has excellent project management skills (very thorough, a team player and has a positive attitude). In summary, due to his ability to coordinate closely and effectively with the owner, architect, and subcontractors I highly recommend William as a Project Manager for your projects.

  • "William Cook and I worked together on the Livestock Road Region 2000. Regional Landfill Facilities Project in 2011-2012.  The project consisted of constructing a new Office Building, Maintenance Building, Scale House, Convenience Station and general site development.  William helped deliver this project on schedule while coordinating Jamerson Lewis' work with several other contractors working for Region 2000. William's professionalism, organization and commitment to meeting the project schedule were integral to the project's success.  As an Owner, I highly recommend William Cook as a Construction Project Manager."

  • "Fred Shafer was a dream to work with on the Parking Deck project at the Lynchburg Community Market. This project was time sensitive, continually complicated, and had an extraordinary amount of public exposure and yet Fred handled this all with both ease and urgency.  He was both knowledgeable and thorough and went to great lengths to ensure excellent communication throughout the project. Though a variety of factors that were out of his control made our project particularly stressful, I always had great confidence that Fred would get the job done and that it would be done right. Fred is a superior project manager and I cannot recommend him enough."

  • I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you both for all your time and effort on the RAHC project.  I know you guys look at these things as “sometimes you win one and sometimes you lose one”.  Even with that said, I know not winning one still stings.  But I wanted to say that we really do appreciate all of your help.  Personally, I believed you guys would be the ones to get it all along.  I even noted in the bid meeting that the final selection would also be based off the add alternates and not just the base cost.  But even the alternates tracked very close.

William, I wanted to say a special thank you for all your work and suggestions as we developed the project.  I am certain that the overall quality of the job and the fact that it was within budget was a direct result of your help.  This makes two projects that you have aided us on that have met the budget.  You have a better track record than the professional cost estimating firms that we hire to give us estimates.

Many times after we get to milestones in a project, we simply move onto the next one.   I just wanted to pause and tell you both that I appreciate your efforts and your friendship.
